How Caffeinated Vitals handles your health data and protects your privacy

Your Data, Your Device

Caffeinated Vitals is designed with privacy at its core. Your health data - blood pressure readings, weight, medications, and everything else - is stored on your device first, and only synced to our servers if you choose to create an account. You can use Caffeinated Vitals completely offline with no account, and your data never leaves your device. When you enable sync, your health data is encrypted in transit. We store your data on our servers to sync across your devices, but we do not access, analyze, or sell your health information.

What We Collect

Without an account: We collect no personal data. Anonymous crash reports may be sent if you opt in. With an account: We collect your email address for authentication and communication. If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe (web). We store subscription status but not payment details like credit card numbers. When using sync: Your health readings, medication records, and related data are stored on our servers to enable sync across your devices.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide the Caffeinated Vitals service:

  • Email: Account login, password reset, and important service updates - Health data: Syncing across your devices We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or health information with third parties for any purpose. We are not a covered entity under HIPAA, but we treat your health data with the same level of care.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your health data remains on our servers as long as your account is active. If you delete a reading, it’s permanently removed within 30 days. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Data on your device is under your control and is not affected by account deletion.
